Agri Environment and Land Use Strategy

We specialise in research into the agricultural and environmental impacts of land use policy in the UK, and the provision of evidence to policy makers in these areas. We have expertise and experience in the design and evaluation of agri-environment schemes and mapping and spatial analysis of rural land use.

Our work has included major monitoring and evaluation studies of Environmental Stewardship, the Campaign for the Farmed Environment and cross-compliance as well as research into the ecology and conservation of specific taxa on farmland such as arable bryophytes and pollinating insects. We are also developing approaches to investigate the environmental impacts of future land use change.
